My after-Christmas work marathon is finally over, and now after a quick trip for a New Year's party I may find myself back to what passes for normal around here. Along with my regularly scheduled web related activities I plan to check out http://www.shadows.com/, a new link storage system I just discovered. I do love a good web app. Plans are to try out a link system installed on my own server as well, all in due time I am sure.

Believe it or not, some uf us are still accessing the Internet through the phone lines by way of a dialup modem. This is somewhat bearable because text loads quickly and one can at least have something to look at while waiting for the snazzy site to load. This don't work too good if the contrast between text and background is being provided only by an image that loads after everything else, usually. Try viewing your site without images sometime.

Tomorrow it is back to work, and while it rained all day today, it sounds like I will have a nice white mess to drive to work in tomorrow.

The latest Drupal now deals with favicons in the theme section. You can now use any location or file extention for your bookmark icon without altering the page template. You still should have a favicon.ico file as well as a robots.txt file in your root directory to avoid all those messy errors.

The helpful folks at FavIcon from Pics now allow for animated favicons. I have seen them around the web but have never owned one before. Leave a commment if you find it distracting because I uploaded the static one as well. Not even sure this one works too good anyway.
